The composition and release form. A synthetic drug. The active agent ethacrynic acid. Release: 1) tablets (1 tablet of 50 mg etakrinova acid) in a package of 20 pieces; 2) capsules containing 0.05 g of sodium salt of the drug, which dissolve in isotonic sodium chloride solution or glucose (20 ml).

Medicinal properties. Has a diuretic effect, increases the excretion of urine sodium ions, chloride, potassium, magnesium and calcium; lowers blood pressure.

Indications for use. Edema of different origin, high blood pressure.

Application rules. The dose is determined individually, taking into account the severity of violations of water-electrolyte balance, the severity of the patient. The daily dose for oral administration and intravenous: 1.2 to 2 mg/kg Inside take in 1 or 2 doses (at 9 and 12 hours after eating.
